2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
I guess God doesn’t know much about his own creation. There are two glaring errors here.
First, not all animals are afraid of humans. Several will actively hunt humans. Two great examples are Komodo Dragons and Polar Bears. It is true that most animals are afraid of us, but the verse says all. And those two both want to eat us when they see us.
Second, it says that every living thing is is meat for us. That would be a big problem if you picked up something like a poison arrow frog. You wouldn’t make it far after eating one of these guys.
I mean I just kinda think that a God who made everything would realize there were some glaring exceptions to his little advice he gives to Adam here. The Bible never seems to surprise me with the things that the god in it knows. It’s the things he doesn’t know that I find fascinating.
