Congratulations to New York for your positive stand on freedom

To be honest, I don’t really care about gay rights.  I don’t like anything about the culture gay people put out to represent themselves.  I just don’t get it.

But as a conservative, I am for freedom.  I don’t see any compelling reason to restrict any group’s right to live their lives the way they wish.  And that’s been my hang up with the restriction on gay marriage.

But as a conservative, I also dislike having a court mandate anything.  Having a small group of nine be able to dictate the law is even more frightening to me than the Christians attacking a bit of freedom of a small group.

New York did it right.  They actually had it pass the legislature and the Governor sign it into law.  I see this as nothing but a very positive step.
